Since the society was founded in 1867, its aim has been to stimulate and educate the public in the beauty, history and character of the countryside. The Society promotes these values with exhibitions, lectures, publications and resources available for education.
From September to April, on the third Friday of the month, we have a programme of meetings at St Saviour’s Church Hall, Spencer Rd, Eastbourne BN21 4PA. Doors open at 7.05 pm with our speaker commencing at 7.30 pm.
Members free, visitors £2.50. Coffee, tea, cake and biscuits will be served at the end of the meeting.
In addition, during the summer we have guided walks and outings of interest.
